The Manual Guide for obtaining border insurance provides a step-by-step instruction on selecting an insurance company, issuing a policy, and obtaining border insurance on the www.tpl.az platform in a few simple steps.
Main Steps

Access the platform
Go to www.tpl.az and click the "Buy Online" button located on the homepage. -
Select an insurance company
A list of available insurance providers will appear. Select an insurance company from the shown options. -
Enter vehicle details
- Enter your vehicle’s plate number and registration document number.
- Click "Check" to continue.
- If it’s your first time entering Azerbaijan, select the vehicle make, model, and registered country manually.

Enter the policyholder’s information
Provide the following information based on whether you are a physical person or a legal entity.- Details of the identity document (personal identification number / passport series and number / date of birth);
- Full name / legal entity name;
- Address;
- Mobile number and email;
- Citizenship (for foreign persons or entities);
- Insurance period.

Make payment and complete registration
- Click "Register". A pop-up will appear showing your payment code and last payment date.
- Enter the first 6 digits of your bank card to proceed.
- After successful payment, you will receive an SMS confirmation with the payment code.
Additional Notes
- If the payment pop-up closes unexpectedly, return to the homepage and click "Pay Now". You can search payment information by payment code or plate number.
- If online payment isn’t completed, use the payment code at a payment terminal in the border control point before the deadline.
- To verify the validity of your insurance policy, use the tool "Check the document by plate or policy number" available on the homepage.
